Bethlehem
Olivewood crib with separation barrier
Following a long tradition, this Olive wood crib was carved by Christian carpenter, Tawfiq Salsa. He made the crib to express his sadness that fellow Christians from outlying villages can no longer visit the Holy sites.
He fears that as life becomes harder for the local Christian community, many will seek a better future elsewhere and Bethlehem may be left as a Museum to a lost communiy.
